Adding fuel to the fire towards public concern over driverless vehicles, a group of hackers in China have conducted a controlled experiment where they were able to infiltrate the automation system of Tesla Model S self driving vehicle. To make the situation more worrying, the team were able to control the brakes and security systems from up to 20 kilometres away. With driverless vehicles becoming the way of the future, this raises questions over just how easily the vehicles can be targeted and hacked.
