Law firm Maurice Blackburn today filed a 50 million dollar class action against the ANZ Bank for allegedly charging excessive fees. The suit lodged with the Federal Court in Melbourne today claims ANZ has charged excessive penalty fees over the past six years. It’s the first of 12 banks on the hit list of consumer group Choice, who’ve been calling on banks reduce their fees for some years now.
