The G8 summit of the leaders of the eight most prosperous nations is meeting in Gleneagles in Scotland at the moment to talk money and the debt of the world’s poorest people is high on the agenda. Action Aid is an international development agency dedicated to educating and empowering poor people and they’re following the events pretty closely. Their head of policy, Steve Tibbet spoke to Lisa Leong about his organisations’ hopes and the atmosphere surrounding the summit. He also told her about a bus they have driven all the way through Africa to the summit, collecting stories of the poor as they go.
