Israeli’s bombing offensive of Lebanon has brought back memories of the long-running occupation of the country that stretch across the 1980s and 90s. Israeli forces continued to bomb what the Israel Defense Force dubs terrorist targets – roads, bridges, the airport and civilian residents. So far close to 150 people have died on the Lebanese side and in Israel, the weekend saw eight people died when a Hezbollah rocket hit the northern port city of Haifa. With Israel blaming the south-based terrorist group Hezbollah for the ongoing conflict.
