Thousands of supporters gathered in Paris yesterday to show their support for embattled centre right candidate Francois Fillon.

The ex- French Prime minister vowed to keep up fighting for the presidency even as his support is failing.

He is summonsed to Court in march 15 to be put under investigation in an embezzlement case.

The presidential race in France is heating up with only weeks left before the first round. Fillon trails far right Marine Le Pen and centrist Emmanuel Macron in the polls.

If Le Pen and Macron make it to the second round, it will be the first time both the center right and center left parties fail to qualify their candidate.
