With the help of GetUp!, Riz Wakil, a former refugee, will be learning to surf and having breakfast with Tony Abbott. Mr Abbotts time was auctioned off on ebay as part of the Federal parliament Press Gallery Ball’s charity auction. Get Up! Members and volunteers donated the money needed for the winning 16 thousand 1 hundred dollar bid. Riz Wakil says he has never surfed before, and is looking forward to the lesson.
