While the Coalition continues to tour Australia telling all in their path that Australia is in a crisis caused by debt, low productivity and the carbon tax, one economist is warning that we have a different crisis coming. Not a debt crisis, but a fiscal crisis.
Frank Stilwell is a political economist who says Australia is actually suffering from what he calls a “Costello hangover”, with tax cuts leading to an unsustainably low revenue base. And he warns the crunch is coming – soon.
