Currently the native timber industry is locked out of the bioenergy market meaning they can’t use their waste products to generate clean power. A seminar in Canberra today heard that they shouldn’t be let in as their industry is not sustainable.

The industry argues that they are unfairly targeted and that native timber by-products have huge potential as a power source.
