Since the accusations of group sex and rape in the case of the Bulldogs rugby league team, football and sex have hardly left the front pages. Today there are claims that three Australian Rules clubs paid hush money to stop sexual assault cases going to court. The football clubs are promising counselling and training but both are supposed to have been happening for years. Ex-footballer Phil Cleary talked about the culture of football and why it more than other sports leads to such incidents, and sports psychologist Chris Hamilton explains why the current training isn’t working.
