Over half a million Australians are struggling to put food on the table, with the rising cost of living being the major cause, according to the latest Foodbank report released in October last year.

This is closely followed by Australian Bureau of Statistics data revealing that over the last twelve months all living cost indexes rose by almost 10 per cent.

The Wire’s Emma Wotzke speaks to the Anti-Poverty Network SA’s, Pas Forgione about how this food insecurity crisis is playing out, especially for those on low incomes as the cost of living continues to surge.
