An app helping First Nations children to enhance their hearing and mental health has received $1.5 million dollars in funding from the WA government.

Sound Smiles is a project developed by Monash University, Curtin University, and Ear Science Institute of Australia, along with First Nations medical services in the state.

First Nations kids experience hearing loss ten times more than their non-Indigenous counterparts, leading to social and emotional problems.
