The first national snapshot of the state of our fish stocks was released today. Many scientists have welcomed the attempt to compile the various information on the topic into a national snapshot. But some are warning against an over-optimistic assessment of the state of our fisheries, and they say that the report doesn’t take into consideration many important impacts on marine ecosystems.
The report was compiled by the Fisheries Research and Development Corporation, and they say it shows a positive story about the state of the nation’s fisheries.
