Federal inquiry finds nuclear not worth the risk

The Coalition’s nuclear energy policy has been confirmed as too risky for Australia, according to a recent parliamentary inquiry interim report.

Many members of the Gippsland community agree it’s not a feasible option for Australia’s energy transition.

Seven sites have been slated for nuclear reactors under Dutton’s proposed policy, and late last year a federal parliamentary committee visited all sites, including Gippsland’s LaTrobe Valley.
