This weekend Princes Bridge that spans the Yarra river in Melbourne will be occupied by activists of the Extinction Rebellion movement in what is known as the ‘Princes Bridge Block’. The event is expected to disrupt travelers through Melbourne and cause a commotion in the leadup to the group’s Spring Rebellion, a national event occurring on October 7th that promises to bring continuous disruption all over Australia to draw awareness to the global issue of climate change. Is this protest a bridge too far?
