The number of foreigners taking up jobs in Australia is rising year by year, with people attracted by sun surf and safety. A recent survey also found they find some of our habits puzzling, like calling everyone ‘mate’ and eating the creatures that are on our coat of arms. However we know less about the experiences of expats from non-Anglo countries, a number set to rise in a globalised world.
