Yankunytjatjara woman, the late Dr Lowitja O’Donoghue has often been described as the greatest Aboriginal leader of the modern era.

A new exhibition celebrating her life, legacy and advocacy for First Nation’s rights has opened in Adelaide, aligning with the close of National Reconciliation week.

‘Lowitja – A Life of Leadership and Legacy’ has been carefully curated by her niece, Deb Edwards featuring Dr O’Donoghue’s journey and national influence.

The exhibition runs until July 25, presented in partnership with The Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Centre, The Lowitja O’Donoghue Foundation and Lowitja Institute.
