The Indigenous Australia Art Commercial Code of Conduct is running into difficulties, 4 months since it’s been passed. Only 26 dealers and an artist have signed. One of its founding members, Beverly Knight has resigned and says she couldn’t support the code as it stands. The code was introduced in 2009 to protect the rights of Indigenous artists, following reports they’ve been mostly exploited.
