Providing high quality, reliable internet infrastructure to remote Australia is just one part of the country’s digital equity challenge. As NBN Co have rolled out satellite and land based technologies, Indigenous communities are still not getting on board, and it’s becoming clear that better communication and education is needed.

First Nations Media are advocating for it, and access to information is a key factor of new Closing The Gap targets, but a cooperative effort between peak bodies, tech companies, telcos and the government is needed to make it a success.
