A refugee advocate has slammed claims by Foreign Minister Bob Carr that many asylum seekers arriving by boat are economic migrants. The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre’s Pamela Curr says the refugee determination process shows over 90 percent of asylum seekers arriving by boat are found to be genuine refugees.
