The dugong is rapidly becoming an endangered species within Australia, with Australian fishing nets and other dangers coming in the way.

 

Environmentalists from around Australia and internationally are becoming concerned with the decrease of the growth of dugongs in Australia.

 

Jim Higgs is the Tropical Fisheries and Aquaculture manager for World Wide Fund for Nature, The Wire’s Henry Wilson caught up with him to discuss the dugong issues.
