Warren Mundine announced yesterday that he would like to see an overhaul of the Federal Government body that controls Aboriginal corporations. The Office of the Registrar of Indigenous corporations, or ORIC, is the body in question.
Recent reports have highlighted that ORIC may not have the capabilities to explore corruption allegations in Indigenous corporations.But is overhauling the organisation the answer, or will it take away the independence of Aboriginal people?
