The Wire

Filmmaker Peter Vaughn spent five years in the East Gippsland forest areas filming the long running standoff between environmentalists and loggers. The result is his documentary “The Last Valley” which gets to know both groups and shows the common ground they eventually find as the loggers realise that the forestry departments unsustainable logging policies are putting an end to their livelihoods.
