Disabled children are at higher risk of being abused: new study released

Children with disabilities are at most risk of being abused and neglected. A new study by Children with Disability Australia says disabled children are three times more likely to be abused. Lack of support and the absence of sense of belonging to the community often result in the problem being underreported. Advocacy and support groups for people with disability say even if the complaints are being made, they often don’t get prioritised.
