The community radio sector says that the government’s scaled back support could see community radio stations disappear from digital radio sets in some cities. But Labor Senator Doug Cameron says that the government has provided ‘significant funding’ for community radio’s transition to digital. In an interview with The Wire, he emphasised that community stations need to continue sourcing funding from sponsors and from the community.
