Digital divide in students improving, but more is needed

Students are back at school, and technology is becoming more critical for today’s education.

But according to the Australian Youth Digital Index, 19 percent of young Australians don’t have access to a laptop or a desktop at home.

This week, company Deloitte donated more than 2000 devices through not-for-profit WorkVentures to close this gap.

But is Australia progressing in closing this digital divide?
