It’s been called the lifestyle disease but fixing the soaring rates of diabetes isn’t as easy as eating less and exercising more. Increasing evidence shows a link between a mother’s lifestyle during pregnancy and the likelihood her child will have diabetes. With death rates and health costs set to spiral experts are urging governments to tackle the problem in a different way.
