Filmmaker David Bradbury’s film “Blowin in the Wind” was shown at the Sydney Film Festival recently, at about the same time as joint US and Australian military exercise Operation Talisman Sabre was happening over Queensland’s Shoalwater Bay. The film deals with the issue of depleted urnaium used in weapons testing and Bradbury raises the possibility that it has been used at Shoalwater Bay with potentially disastrous health effects for Australians.
