Yesterday’s anti- carbon tax rally in Canberra drew an estimated 3000 people – Liberal frontbencher Sophie Mirabella has called it an expression of people power – and that’s obviously what Tony Abbott hoped to get across yesterday by being there but it does appear to have backfired on him. Meanwhile in spite of all the anti-carbontax rhetoric Labor’s poll results have risen slightly.
