Yesterday, British Prime Minister Tony Blair and US President George Bush announced plans to grant developing African countries total debt relief, and Blair will be pressing the issue at next months G8 meeting in Scotland. Chareties and non-governmental organisations around the world have welcome the news of the new plan to lift Africa out of poverty.
