It’s been four Easters since Adelaide-born terror-suspect David Hicks was captured and placed in Guantanamo Bay…last night, he won an important legal victory when an appeal was upheld, stating that he must be given British citizenship.It’s a significant development in his case because under an agreement between the British and US governments, British terror suspects are repatriated to England. Hicks’ US military lawyer Major Michael Mori says Hicks could be released as a British citizen, if the US stopped interfering with his case. David Hicks’ father, Terry, says if released, David would like to return home to Australia.
