This week The United Nations Security Council has unanimously voted for a deployment of around twenty-six thousand peacekeepers into war torn Darfur in Wester Sudan. The new troops will replace the seven thousand African Union workers currently there in the hope of starting to quell the murder and havoc of the last three years.
