Beauty, currently having its world premiere in Adelaide, is the work of one of Australia’s premier dance companies, the Restless Dance Company. This company has an edge of difference as their dancers include young people with disabilities. Annie Hastwell spoke with Philip Challens, artistic director of Resless and Kyra Kimpton, a principal dancer about how Australia is seriously lagging behind when it comes to making sure formal training is available to young people with a disability who want a career in dance.
