The most significant changes to Australia’s industrial relations laws in over one hundred years are almost upon us and according to a new report, the prognosis is grim. The first comprehensive, independent and expert analysis of the reforms was released today at Sydney University. It found the proposed changes are unlikely to have any positive impact on economic productivity or jobs growth but that fairness in the workplace will be reduced. Dr Rae Cooper, Lecturer in Work and Organisational Studies at the University of Sydney and one of the report’s authors, spoke to the Wire’s Christine Baker.
