Corporate support for charities can significantly increase the services provided or number of people who can be helped, and also provides opportunity for staff to understand issues of importance to society.

Property investment company, Charter Hall, is walking the talk with a $50,000 cash donation to Adelaide homelessness service Hutt Street Centre, along with additional help from staff who volunteer in the centre’s kitchen.

On the eve of homeless outreach service Hutt Street Centre’s Walk a Mile in My Boots fundraising event, The Wire found out how important both fundraising and corporate assistance is to providing essential services.
