Violence has flared up again in the Democratic Republic of Congo as the M23 rebel group captured the country’s eastern region in late January.

Currently the humanitarian and economic situation is dire, as the insurgents wage a campaign against the DRC government.

The African Union warns if the situation remains unchanged, it could see a breaking up of the Central African nation.
