The Free West papua movement has constantly appealed to Australians to care about the human rights abuses happening in their country under Indonesian rule . A conference being held at Sydney University today is an attempt to bring all the players together and work out a way forward Professor Peter King convened the conference. He says the torture video that appeared on YouTube last October has finally turned more world attention to the plight of the West Papuans.
