Concerns research integrity watered down with new code

There are concerns the integrity of Australian universities and research institutes may be affected by changes to the code of conduct for responsible research.

The code, which was introduced in 2007 after a serious case of research fraud, has been “streamlined” and no longer requires research institutions like universities to employ external investigators in the case of allegations of serious misconduct.
