Community organiser says ALP spat points to broader political crisis

Amanda Tattersall was a member of the ALP, and co-founded Labor for refugees. But she became disenchanted with Labor, left the party, and helped to found the Sydney Alliance, a broad-based coalition of NGOs and unions who want to involve more people in the politics that affects their lives. She says these sort of leadership battles are symptomatic of a broader crisis in Australian politics.
