Baby Gammy has become a household name, after the Thai baby became the centre of a commercial surrogacy storm. Authorities in Thailand are now clamping down on the industry; leaving many would be parents in limbo. But Thailand hasn’t always been the first place to go to find a surrogate. For the past ten years, India has been the go-to destination. In fact, one clinic estimates they work with over 700 surrogate births a year. So, why is the Delhi such an attractive city for surrogacy?
