There ‘s an international cleaning conference going on in Adelaide this week – cleaning on a grand global scale. It’s a gathering of experts on hazardous industrial waste – the sorts of deadly substances that industry is no longer able to pour onto public land and into public wateways. These days cleaning up after those industries is a multi million dollar industry in itself and the conference was clearly an opportunity for the remediators to showcase their wares . Geologist and remediation expert Professor Paul Nathanail says that as a society we shouldn’t be making more mess than we can clean up after us, and he quoted Biblical prophet Ezekiel to make his point.
