The Federal Government’s plans to scrap the clean energy supplement has raised concerns that those living below the poverty line will be worse off.

Removing the supplement, which varies from $4.40 per week for unemployed people on Newstart Allowance to $7.05 per week for Age and Disability Pensioners, will affect about 2.2 million low-income Australians.
