Families across Australia have been caught off guard with the announcement of a new childcare package ahead of tomorrow’s Budget. The Jobs for Families Package is a 3.5 billion dollar program designed to get parents back into work – but has been criticized for its disregard of stay at home parents and cuts to parental leave. Concerns regarding the announcement also circle around whether enough facilities and services are available for families are at all available.
