Twenty-five teenage refugees from Afghanistan, Iran and Iraq will tell their own stories portraying the experience of refugee children in a theatre performance opening tonight. As part of the year-long theatre therapy project the performers unpacked the different facets of being an asylum seeker, trauma survivor and resettled refugee. The artistic directors say the performance is part of an ongoing project that assists young refugees to honour their past and build resilience for the future.
