Yesterday was an exciting day for the Melbourne Cup, and it was especially exciting for Michelle Payne, who won the race and is the first female jockey to have won the cup.She described the sport as chauvinistic and told her doubters to “get stuffed”. The Wire asked if chauvinism is still in the industry and whether this attitude is likely to improve about females in horse racing in the future.
