Today, celebrations are unfolding across China to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party.
President Xi Jinping spoke earlier today at a ceremony in Tiananmen Square, praising the CCP’s achievements including eradicating poverty, and creating a ‘well-off society’.
However, the validity of these claims is under question from experts as to what the real impact of the CCP has been both nationally and internationally.
