Minister Kevin Andrews today moved to allay fears the Federal Government could pull the plug on the $550 million Community Development Employment Program, known as CDEP. With a review of the program due to start today, Aboriginal leaders are concerned jobs will be lost if a decision is made to cancel CDEP. Minister Andrews says, however, the government is committed not only to continuing the CDEP Program, but also improving it.
