Writer and philosopher, Associate Professor John Armstrong believes our elections have become more presidential because we the public, only pay a limited amount of attention. Therefore the political parties have been forced to concentrate the message and make it about one person, not a team or even a policy.

Don’t blame the party campaign managers or our politicians for our elections becoming too Presidential and our politics shallow, vulgar and banal. It’s our fault according to writer and philosopher John Armstrong. who is currently a senior advisor in the office of Vice-Chancellor  at the University of Melbourne.
