Calls for reform to close donation loopholes

Today the Australian Electoral Commission published its annual data on political donations for 2015-16.
More interesting than what is outlined in the figures, however, is what is not included.
Loopholes in the policy and a lack of transparency means the data only covers a small amount of the major political parties total income.
The release of the data has refuelled calls for reform of political donations with parties currently only required to disclose donations over $13,000.
