Members of the disability community are demanding a national protocol in a push for equal access to healthcare services.
Physical Disability Australia is an advocacy group for those with physical disability and one of the organisations backing calls to address national standards.
This comes after Award-winning lawyer, artist and adaptive fashion designer, Carol Taylor, who uses a wheelchair, was diagnosed with an aggressive Stage 2, triple-positive breast cancer three weeks after she was denied a mammogram as a result of her disability.
