The search for a gunman loose in Melbourne’s CBD continues tonight, after one man was shot dead and two others were injured early this morning. The triple shooting happened just after 8am, in what Police believe was a domestic incident that spilled out from a nearby bar. Witnesses say the man who died was a bystander who tried to help an injured women threatened by the gunman. The violence has already sparked debate over the availability of guns in Australia – with a call for an immediate ban on semi-automatic handguns.
